MasterWorks Music Detectives

MasterWorks Music Detectives

A perfect introduction to the classics - help solve musical mysteries and learn about classical music in this fun-filled pre-show series before performances of the Utah Symphony!

This program for kids 8-12 includes fun, interactive classes before each MasterWorks concert. Students also get tickets to every MasterWorks concert.

The cost is $8 for the entire season.  Students must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket during the concert.

Our Utah Symphony Masterworks Series includes four concerts with virtuosic guest artists and dynamic masterpieces by Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Haydn, Ravel, Saint-Saens, and Shostakovich. Each performance is sure to awe and inspire your child.

Dates:

  • November 2 - Rachmaninoff & Ravel
  • December 7 - Saint-Saens: Carnival of Animals
  • February 1 - Mozart & Hayden
  • April 26 - Shostakovich

Students have the option of attending:

  • 6:30pm class, if they’d like to see the entire concert, or...
  • 7:30pm class, if they’d like to attend the class during the first half and only attend the concert in the second half

All classes and concerts take place at the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts at Weber State University.
