Job Description:

Onstage Ogden is seeking a passionate arts leader to fill the role of Development Director within our organization. The Development Director oversees all fundraising activities, working with the Executive Director to increase and improve relationships among patrons and donors, creating specific strategies to increase revenues for the organization, and securing sponsorships within the business community. In addition to being the key fundraiser, the Development Director works closely with other positions in identifying opportunities to interact successfully with donors through events and performance opportunities. As an integral leadership role within a small staff, the Development Director is also responsible for working closely with other employees to further the mission of the organization. This is accomplished by carrying out significant and effective strategies across all areas of non-profit administration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Successful revenue generation to meet major fundraising goals of the organization
  • Provide management level leadership of development and implementation of the fundraising programs to ensure a diverse revenue stream including campaigns, events, grants and individual giving. 
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board on prospective donor cultivation
  • Develop goals for fundraising events, recruit corporate sponsors, assist with the planning of all logistical aspects of fundraising events 
  • Work with Outreach Manager to collect and assess demographic, program and impact data for use in reports to stakeholders
  • Oversee and maintain all donor database functions, including the accurate and timely acknowledgement of all gifts


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • At least three years of direct experience, including knowledge of major gift solicitation, foundation/corporate solicitation, events, communications, and donor relations
  • Able to demonstrate a successful track record of grant writing and securing major gifts from individuals and corporations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, integrity and a sense of humor
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills among diverse constituent groups
  • Organized, detail oriented, and skilled at prioritization
  • Skilled at problem solving and finding solutions independently
  • Computer literate with a proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databases
  • Able to work well independently and within a team structure
  • Able to pass background check

Location: Ogden, Utah

Status: full time, exempt

Salary: commensurate with experience
